The OMV NZ Scholarships will be awarded to post graduate candidates who have paid the fees, or have arranged to pay the fees for full-time enrolment in Earth Sciences, Environmental Sciences and Engineering.
Scholarships will be awarded to New Zealand citizens and residents attending either a New Zealand university, institution or an internationally recognised overseas university or institution (accredited by the International Association of Universities).
Selection will be based upon both academic merits and the potential relevance of their project to the oil and gas industry.
OMV NZ is not obliged to make an award if in any year there is no candidate of sufficient merit.
Applications close on 15 December in the year preceding the award.
Recipients of the scholarship may have the opportunity of summer work experience with OMV New Zealand.
Once applications (link to details) are received by OMV New Zealand, an OMV selection committee will assess the applications. Interviews may be required as part of the final stages of selection

- Academic transcript to date
- Project supervisors, their credentials and specialities
- A covering letter explaining the relevance of the project to OMV NZ. Activities and policies
