Supervisory Board of OMV prolongs the nomination of CEO Rainer Seele as well as of the Executive Board member Johann Pleininger and appoints Pleininger as deputy Chairman of the Executive Board

In today’s meeting, the Supervisory Board of OMV Aktiengesellschaft confirmed Rainer Seele (56) as the Chairman of the Executive Board and CEO of OMV. The term of office of Rainer Seele has been extended by two years until June 30, 2020. This extension option was included in the original contract. Rainer Seele has been Chairman of the Executive Board and CEO of OMV since July 1, 2015.

In the Supervisory Board meeting, Johann Pleininger (55) was also confirmed as OMV Executive Board member responsible for Upstream (exploration & production). Furthermore, today Pleininger was appointed as deputy Chairman of the Executive Board as of July 1, 2017. The term of office of Johann Pleininger has been extended by two years until August 31, 2020. This extension option was included in the original contract. Johann Pleininger has been an OMV Executive Board member responsible for Upstream (exploration & production) since September 1, 2015.
